BU Dance Team Tournament Day 7 - #38 Jorie Larsen vs. #37 Kailene Bernard

Well, after Monday's matchup we've shaved the Dance Team from 14 members to 8 as Grace Lam narrowly defeated fellow senior Liz Stilwell. Now you choose who is good enough to make it to the final four.

Here's your updated bracket:
Recapping the first round, I'd like to point out the records of each respective class:

Seniors: 1-3
Juniors: 2-1
Sophomores: 0-2
Freshmen: 3-0

As stated way early in the year (I can't recall where/when) the BUDT freshman class is one of the strongest in the country. It's not too much of a surprise they swept round 1.

Anyways, you are to forget round 1. It's not important/relevant to round 2. The first matchup puts the automatic bye #38 Jorie Larsen up against the first winner of the tournament - #37 Kailene Bernard.

Someone must lose

Again, I'll reiterate, before you vote I would like you to consider the following factors:

- Dancing abilities
- Spirit
- How well you think she cooks
- Smile
- Skills in a mud wrestling cage fight
- Driving abilities
- Provided bio

Keeping all this in mind, here are you competitors:

#38 Jorie Larsen

Name: Jorie Larsen
Number: 38
Hometown: Bloomingdale, IL
Education: COhttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gifM '10 - Broadcast Journalism
Dance Background: Lake Park High School Lancettes Dance Team four years, eleven years of studio jazz training
Campus Involvement: Alpha Delta Pi
Favorite BUDT Memory: Cape Cod retreat, team dinners at T. Anthony's, team breakfasts at West, weekend get-togethers
Interesting Fact: I was a gymnast for about ten years
Career Goals: I want to be a local Chicago news anchor, or write for a magazine

This all comes from Jorie's provided bio.

If you've ever spent less than 3 seconds around Jorie you'll know that she is insanely nice. I don't know how she does it. I can tell Jorie has never killed anything - no bugs, no ants, no earthworms, nothin'.

Jorie is indeed the secretary of the BUDT, meaning she can transcribe any song lyrics, ever, and takes really good notes (Yo Jorie, hook me up with some HI365 notes. For some reason my eyes don't stay open in that class.)

Jorie makes amazing chili. I learned this during the Dance Team Super Bowl party. Unfortunately I only got to enjoy a single Tostito, decked out with her chili - that's how fast it went.

She was also part of one of the most amazing Dance Team performances in recent history: STORY

Oh, and you know who else wears number 38? Only Jesus' role model.
The 2008 NL Cy Young Winner: Kyle Kendrick. Believe the Hype.

Finally, I'd like to add that Jorie can rap the entire song "Slob on my Nob" by Three Six Mafia:

Jorie is wonderful, if you don't believe me, how come she got the bye? (it was random) Here are some pictures of Jorie for your own benefit (Click to enlarge):
Yeah, Looney had that dress too. But I'm pretty sure Jorie had it first.

#37 Kailene Bernard

Name: Kailene Bernard
Number: 37
Hometown: Winchester, MA
Education: SED '09

Unfortunately, this is all that is in her provided bio.

Our resident bracketologist, Professor Magee told us that Kailene's win over Kaitlyn George-Busconi in round 1 was the biggest upset in Tournament history.

Professor Magee has studied these brackets for years, and has earned a PHD from Pennsylvania University (the Ivy League one) in bracketology. He has heavily disected our brackets, but letting you know his picks would be unfair. Just know, he has a perfect bracket.

Anyways, Kailene's win came in round one, all that matters is round two.

From what we know about Kailene, she is a transfer from Dean College and the proud owner of a Burmese Mountain dog.

She is also a favorite of the BUDT #4 biggest fan, Chris Deacon.

A quote from captain Grace Lam states, "she has like 234,283,423 brothers and sisters." (Direct Quote) That's a lot of kids and a lot of sex.

Kailene's mom also owns a dance studio, which explains all the moves #37's got.

Here are some more pictures of Kailene, just for you (Click to enlarge):

Who's the first Dance Teamer going to the Final Four? Only you can choose. Rock the vote.

Voting is now closed. Congrats to Jorie Larsen who moves onto the second round.

That is a Bernese Mountain Dog...Not from 'Burma' but from the Swiss canton of Bern. Very rare to have the owner look as good as her Best Bud...
